Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag aims savage dig at Arne Slot ahead of Liverpool move

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has subtly criticised new Liverpool boss Arne Slot, suggesting his achievements at Feyenoord are being exaggerated in comparison to Peter Bosz's success with PSV Eindhoven, who have just clinched the Eredivisie title.

Ten Hag, whose future at Old Trafford is set to be decided this week following an unexpected FA Cup victory over Manchester City, said: "People have been going overly lyrical about Feyenoord," and added, "Feyenoord were steady this year, but not top. PSV Eindhoven were two classes better in all areas. In terms of dominating the ball, in terms of putting pressure, in terms of intensity, you name it."

He praised Bosz and his team for their exceptional work, stating: "Bosz and his staff did that top notch, but the rest of the club is also well put together. PSV Eindhoven were better than the rest by such a long distance, even so much better than Feyenoord."
