Manchester United are busy on transfer deadline day with potential deals still up for grabs

Manchester United have been ridiculously busy in this summer’s transfer window. The madness is still unfurling in Carrington and it will be continuing until the 11pm deadline tonight.

Up until this point, the vast shuffling of players has hit double digits, with United bringing in six players whilst bidding farewell to over 13 players. Alessia Russo and Ona Batlle left prior to the Women's World Cup kicking off. Arsenal also attempted to bid for Mary Earps, but that door was slammed shut - the FIFA Best goalkeeper is not for sale.

An abundance of talent has left Carrington behind, with many jumping ship to domestic rival sides, such as Adriana Leon to Aston Villa. Unsurprising considering the limited minutes given to these players and serious lack of starting XI deviation at United. However, the talent manager Marc Skinner has been able to bring into the realms of Leigh Sports Village has been mighty impressive, from Barcelona's Geyse to World Cup Golden Boot winner, Japan's Hinata Miyazawa. Earlier today, the club confirmed the signing of Irene Guerrero from Atletico Madrid.

Brazilian duo Geyse and Ivana Fuso seemed to be enjoying a dynamic partnership however the latter has decided to move to Championship side Birmingham City permanently. Fuso spent last season out on loan in Germany and returned to United for the summer only to jump ship on deadline day.

Rumours have arisen concerning goalkeeper Sophie Baggaley with a potential move to Brighton & Hove Albion, while another ‘keeper has reportedly committed her future to Manchester - Phallon Tullis-Joyce. She joins from NWSL side OL Reign with a potential step-in should Earps leave - either this season or next.
