Manchester United ace Alejandro Garnacho criticised for 'copying' Cristiano Ronaldo celebration

Former Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal has criticised Manchester United ace Alejandro Garnacho for copying Cristiano Ronaldo's trademark celebration after scoring his wonder goal in Sunday's 3-0 win over Everton.

Just three minutes into the clash at Goodison Park, Garnacho, who was making his third successive Premier League start, scored one of the greatest goals of all time, powering a stunning acrobatic effort past Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. Moving away from goal, he connected with Diogo Dalot's cross from the right with the cleanest strike he could have wished for.

It was a sensational hit and one that is almost certain to be crowned Goal of the Season. Garnacho wheeled away in celebration before ending his run towards the corner flag by twirling through the air and performing a pose identical to the one Ronaldo does when he gets his name on the scoresheet.

Such was the staggering nature of the goal, United supporters were unlikely to care how Garnacho celebrated the best goal of his career. However, Chilean international Vidal, who is currently on the books of Brazilian outfit Club Athletico Paranaense, was unimpressed by the youngster's choice in celebration, urging him to find his own celebration.

Vidal, as quoted by the Metro, said: "The only bad thing or what I didn't understand is why he celebrates like Cristiano? He has to make his own name.

"He is an already great player. It's good that he is his idol, respect for that, but then he has to make his name.

"How are you going to celebrate a goal and remember it? I don't know, celebrate it another
