Manchester Food and Drink Festival 2022 reveals final line-up

The final line-up for the 2022 Manchester Food and Drink Festival has been announced, with a host of chef talks, demos, a street food village and the festival’s artisan market all back for its 25th anniversary. The festival takes place from September 15 to 26, with the event’s ‘hub’ installed at Cathedral Gardens.

The Masterclass Kitchen will feature the likes of Guardian columnist and recipe icon Felicity Cloake, with other panels coming from Kate Humble, Lia Leendertz, Edd Kimber and Bake Off winner Rahul Mandal.

Manchester brewers Joseph Holt will return to commandeer the festival’s bar, at the festival hub, and will be brewing a special 25th anniversary beer, as well as showcasing 25 hand-picked local beers.

The ‘food village’ will be split into two halves, with September 15 to 19 showcasing the Bury’s Grandad Sausages, Spanish cuisines from Senor Paella, wood-fired Neapolitan pizza from I Knead Pizza, burgers from What’s Your Beef, wraps and wings from Oh My Glaze, Sunderland-style parmos from Parmogeddon, vegan street food from Herbivorous, Korean cuisine from Bab K, churros from Cha Cha Churros and waffles and crepes from Spoon Desserts.

Then from September 22 to 25, there will be burgers from The Spinn, pizza from Il Forno, Japanese street food from Super Bao, Ethiopian and Eritrean ‘soul food’ from House of Habesha, Cyprus Kouzina, the Hip Hop Chip Shop, tacos from Meksikan, Vietnamese legends Mi & Pho, Heavenly Indian and Cafe Cannoli with come Sicilian street food, while Guzzle will supply the coffee and ice cream.
