Manchester City XI vs Man United: Predicted lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Premier League game

Manchester City will be without Ruben Dias for the derby on Sunday after the centre-back picked up a hamstring injury in the FA Cup.

The Premier League leaders have had very few injury problems to speak of all season but Pep Guardiola revealed one major blow for City on Friday.

During the midweek FA Cup win at Peterborough, both the Portuguese defender and reserve centre-back Nathan Ake were forced off with problems at the break.

“Nathan finished bad in the action when he got the yellow card and Ruben was not feeling good in his leg,” Guardiola revealed.

“That's why, for caution and to be alert, we made the substitutions. It was not planned but Aymeric [Laporte] and John [Stones] were excellent [in the] second-half. I would say it was a medical decision.”

On Friday, Guardiola revealed that Dias will miss the next four to six weeks due to the injury.

City could go with Laporte and Stones as the central defensive pairing against Manchester United while Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Rodri are hoping to return after being rested.

Man City predicted XI: Ederson; Walker, Stones, Laporte, Cancelo; Silva, Rodri, Gundogan; Mahrez, Silva, Sterling.
