Manchester City XI vs Atletico Madrid: Predicted lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for second leg

Kyle Walker returns to contention for Manchester City’s Champions League trip to Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.

Pep Guardiola had been unable to call upon the right-back for the last three European games following his red card against RB Leipzig in the group stage.

But Walker’s ban has ended and City could select a near full-strength side for the quarter-final second leg.

Kevin De Bruyne scored the winner at the Etihad Stadium to give the visitors a 1-0 aggregate lead in Madrid, before the Premier League leaders secured a 2-2 draw in the showdown with Liverpool on Sunday.

City came through that clash without any fresh injury concerns, leaving only Ruben Dias (hamstring) and Cole Palmer (foot) set to miss the second leg.

Guardiola has plenty of options on his bench to freshen up his line-up amid a busy run of fixtures with Ilkay Gundogan, Riyad Mahrez, Jack Grealish and Fernandinho his options to come into the XI.

Predicted Man City XI: Ederson; Walker, Stones, Laporte, Cancelo; Gundogan, Rodri, De Bruyne; Mahrez, Jesus, Sterling.
