Manchester City supporters set to line the streets for huge trophy parade

Thousands of Manchester City supporters are set to line the streets for a huge trophy parade to celebrate the club's historic Treble. Plans for a massive celebration have been underway for the past few days, prior to Saturday night's Champions League final.

Following City's 1-0 win over Inter Milan in Istanbul, an open top bus trophy parade will be held on Monday, City confirmed. The club said full details for the event will be revealed tomorrow. The parade is expected to take place from 6.30pm and last around an hour.

It is due to be followed by a stage show, the M.E.N. understands. Locations for the parade and stage show are yet to be confirmed.

Shortly after City captain Ilkay Gundogan lifted the trophy, City tweeted: "We will be celebrating our Treble with an open-top bus parade through Manchester city centre on Monday. Can't wait to see you all there! Further details will follow tomorrow."

The club secured a historic Treble after defeating Inter Milan 1-0 in Istanbul. Thousands of fans made the expensive 2,000 mile journey to ensure they were in the Turkish capital for a night they will never forget.

While thousands more are expected to fill the streets of the city centre on Monday to honour the achievements of the team, which have matched the Treble won by Manchester United in 1999.
