Manchester City star Jack Grealish had consensual sex with woman allegedly raped by Benjamin Mendy's co-accused, jury hears

England footballer Jack Grealish was allegedly at a party at the house of Man City team-mate Benjamin Mendy where a young woman was allegedly raped by Mr Mendy's co-accused, Chester Crown Court has heard.

Grealish is said to have had consensual sex with one woman who was later raped by Louis Saha Matturie, it is alleged.

Mendy, 28 and Matturie, 41, deny rape and sexual offences against a number of young women.

One alleged victim, named Woman Ten in court, gave an interview to police that was played to the jury. In the interview, she said that after she was allegedly raped by Mr Mendy at his home, she went to find Woman Eleven, another alleged victim.

“She told me she had sex with Jack,” she told the court. “I knew this was after I was with Ben."

Woman Ten, alleges she was raped twice by Mr Mendy, the same evening of the party at his house in Prestbury, Cheshire last August. Mr Mendy, 28, is accused of seven counts of rape against four women; one count of attempted rape; and one count of sexual assault.

The offences are alleged to have taken place at his Cheshire mansion between October 2018 and August last year, relating to seven women in total. Mr Matturie, 41, from Eccles, Salford, denies six counts of rape; and three counts of sexual assault, relating to seven women.

On Tuesday, the jury heard from Woman Nine, who accuses Mr Matturie, who prosecutors say was a 'fixer' for Mr Mendy, of raping and sexually assaulting her in April of last year.

The trial, now in its sixth week, continues.
