Manchester City's toughest fixtures left amid Liverpool and Arsenal Premier League title race
Manchester City are no strangers to title races as they aim to defend their crown and win Premier League for the fourth year in a row.
Last season saw them eventually finish five points ahead of Arsenal in the table after chasing down Mikel Arteta’s side throughout the campaign. It was part of City’s memorable treble-winning season under Pep Guardiola.
They show no signs of letting up this season. Although they are not currently top of the table, City are in the driving seat due to a game in hand that they have over rivals Liverpool and Arsenal in the league.

Guardiola’s side are in second place, just two points behind Liverpool at the top. Therefore winning their game in hand would put them above Jurgen Klopp’s side.

With that in mind, the Manchester Evening News has taken a look at three of the toughest fixtures that lie ahead of City between now and the end of the campaign.

City have though come out victorious in five of the last six meetings between the two sides.
United currently sit in sixth place in the Premier League table, six points behind Tottenham in fourth. They are unbeaten in four league games.
