Manchester City prospect 'improving' as youngster paid exciting compliment in Bolton Wanderers loan

James Trafford is impressing in his loan spell at Bolton Wanderers with Ian Evatt believing the Manchester City youngster has all the hallmarks of a good goalkeeper.

The 19-year-old is highly rated at City and is seen as fourth choice in the pecking order behind number one Ederson, back-up Zack Steffen and veteran Scott Carson.

Trafford is currently in his second loan spell of this campaign, having joined Bolton on a deal until the end of this season, having spent the first half at Accrington Stanley.

"He’s improving his personality. Goalkeepers have to be nuts, the good ones I’ve always seen and played with were all bonkers.

"You have to be bonkers to get a ball booted at you from a young age and enjoy it, but he’s solid, he’s a good character and we’re delighted to have him.
