Manchester Airport job vacancies - the roles open for applications now

Manchester Airport is hiring for a variety of roles as the summer holiday season approaches. There are currently vacancies in the security, customer service and car parking teams.

Some passengers travelling through Manchester Airport have been caught up in long queues for security or faced lengthy waits for luggage in recent weeks. The airport, along with much of the aviation industry, has struggled to recruit staff made redundant after the pandemic shut down airports and travel.

Now, with coronavirus travel restrictions lifting and the summer holiday season approaching, passenger numbers are rising and the airport is looking to fill its vacancies.

Airport bosses at Manchester apologised to passengers after they admitted they had “fallen short of the standards they expected”, before later announcing that managing director Karen Smart would be stepping down from her role to “pursue fresh career opportunities”. Ian Costigan moves from his post as group transformation director to become interim managing director.

The Manchester Airport Group jobs site is currently offering roles for drivers, traffic marshalls and security operatives as well as some management positions, covering a range of salaries. Here are some of the roles that you can apply for now.

Manchester Airport is now hiring security officers. This is "one of the most vital roles in the airport", according to the company's jobs site.
