Man wakes up in hospital with two bleeds on brain after attack outside Subway

A man woke up in hospital with two bleeds on his brain after being attacked on a night out in Liverpool.

Cameron Tunstall woke to find two detectives at his bedside after reportedly being attacked by a gang of two men and a woman outside Subway on Saturday morning. The last thing he can remember is being in a bar with his friends, the Liverpool Echo reports.

The 22-year-old, from Woodchurch, Wirral, had been out for a meal first in the city centre on Friday evening. He then went to various bars and clubs including the Red Lion, Electrick Warehouse and then Teddy's with his friends.

But Cameron's night ended in him being rushed to hospital. Police confirmed they were called to Bold Street just after 4.15am on Saturday, May 6, after a man was found unconscious on the ground - the man being Cameron.

It was reported that he had been assaulted outside Subway. Cameron said he can't remember what happened, but from his bank transactions he could see that he bought food from Subway and was likely heading to a taxi rank to go home back in Wirral.

He said: "I know [we went to Teddy's] because when I had woken up I had a picture with a friend in a photobooth in there. That's how I figured out we went to Teddy's.

"From what I gathered from my bank transactions, I went to Subway and that's where I read on the ECHO it happened. I woke up, I think, quite early yesterday morning.

"I don't really know timestamps because when I actually woke up, I was just in a room with two detectives who were speaking to me about what happened."

A 25-year-old woman, who comes from London, was arrested nearby and taken to a police station for questioning by detectives. Cameron
