Tyrell Malacia was born and raised in Rotterdam, which has been his beloved home ever since. He was always gifted in terms of footballing ability, so much so that he was snapped up by Feyenoord academy at the young age of nine.

He had undeniable talent in his youth, he represented the Netherlands from an Under-16 level to the Under-21. He has now since progressed to feature five times for the Oranje, with him also looking ever likely to feature in Louis van Gaal’s 26-man squad for the World Cup in Qatar.

He’s adapted well to the Netherland’s five at the back wing-back role, which could give Erik ten Hag something to think about
