Man Utd 'weighed up' signing £42m PL midfielder at Old Trafford

Manchester United will ‘wait and see what happens’ before deciding whether to pursue Moises Caicedo or not, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The Red Devils were linked with a move for the Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder in the summer but brought in Christian Eriksen and Casemiro instead to ease their woes in the middle of the park.

Brighton snapped up Caicedo in a £4.5 million deal from Ecuadorian side Independiente del Valle in January 2021 after he was previously scouted by United.

The 20-year-old was then sent out on loan to Belgian outfit Beerschot on loan in August of the same year for six months before returning to the Amex Stadium where he has continued to impress.
