Man Utd: Ten Hag now facing 'divided dressing room' at Old Trafford

Manchester United have a divide within the camp and that came to the fore after a bust-up at the club’s Carrington training ground, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The Red Devils are set to enter a new era, with Erik ten Hag being installed as their new manager, but it appears he will have problems to solve in the early days of his reign.

According to The Sun, two senior players within the Manchester United squad were involved in a full-on scrap at Carrington.

The report suggests the altercation came towards the end of a training session and the duo had to be pulled apart, leaving team-mates shocked.

It has been a hugely frustrating season at Old Trafford, where Ralf Rangnick has been in charge since being appointed as the Red Devils’ interim boss last November.

Manchester United will head into the final match of the season, at Crystal Palace, knowing they can finish no higher than sixth in the Premier League standings and may still be made to contend with only qualifying for the Europa Conference League.

The Red Devils were knocked out of the Champions League at the last 16 stage, while their bid for silverware in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup was ended in the fourth and third rounds respectively.

Jones believes the training ground bust-up shows there is tension in the camp and the Manchester United players are not on the same page.
