Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni has claimed that he has not been made aware of any interest in him as Tottenham Hotspur and Man United aim to seal a deal for his services.
The two Premier League clubs have been linked with a move for the Italian, the pair keen to bolster their defensive options ahead of the new season. Spurs boss Antonio Conte has worked with the centre-back in the past and is anxious to be reunited with his former player in north London.
Elsewhere, new Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag has recently been linked with a swoop for Bastoni as United aim to improve the defence that saw them hugely struggle under Ralf Rangnick last term.
Amid reports over his future, Bastoni has finally broken his silence but has claimed that he has not been told about any bids and is instead focusing on next season with Inter. Speaking after the Italian national side’s 2-1 UEFA Nations League victory over Hungary, he said: "I am an Inter player. I have a two-year contract with Inter.
“The club has not communicated anything to me. I go on vacation after the national team, and then I start again with Inter."
In the meantime, Bastoni’s agent Tullio Tinti has claimed that the defender is happy at the San Siro despite interest in his services from the Premier
