Man Utd take action against dressing room leaks ahead of Erik ten Hag arrival

Manchester United are confident the issue of dressing room leaks will not be an issue for Erik ten Hag next season.

United are nearing the end of a miserable campaign which will see them record their lowest ever Premier League points tally in a fifth consecutive season without a trophy.

During the final weeks of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign and throughout Ralf Rangnick’s tenure, a stream of stories reporting unrest in the dressing room have appeared on the back pages.

Among them, stories have come out of Old Trafford claiming the squad have questioned Rangnick’s methods while another outlet claimed some players have compared the German’s assistant, Chris Armas, to hapless fictional TV character Ted Lasso.

Former United defender Neville has branded the reports coming out of the club as ‘disgusting’ this season but United would appear to be confident of putting it to a stop.

According to The National, an investigation into the leaks from the dressing room was launched and recently concluded. The club is said to be ‘satisfied that it will be less of an issue next season’.

Up to 10 players could leave Old Trafford this summer with ten Hag to preside over wholesale changes at the club.

Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Edinson Cavani, Nemanja Matic and Lee Grant are all at the end of their respective contracts.

Dean Henderson is said to be in talks over a move to Newcastle United while Aaron Wan-Bissaka could be deemed surplus to requirements by the new manaher.

United are also ready to offload centre-back pair Eric Bailly and Phil Jones.
