Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper says he is "honoured" to have been named Manager of the Year by the Midlands Football Writers' Association.
Cooper was appointed as Forest boss in September 2021 and has been the chief engineer of an incredible turnaround in form at the City Ground. The Reds had won just once in eight Championship matches when Cooper took the reigns from Steven Reid (interim manager) after Chris Hughton's departure.
In the immediate weeks after his appointment, Cooper picked up eight wins from 15 - he lost just once in that time frame.

Despite suffering a hamstring injury, Aston Villa loanee Keinan Davis is still a man in demand ahead of the summer transfer window.
Davis joined Nottingham Forest on loan for the remainder of the season after falling down the pecking order at Villa Park. The striker had been breathing a breath of fresh air at the City Ground, netting five times and contributing two assists in the process in his 15 appearances before sustaining an injury against Luton Town.
The injury blow has come at a crucial time for the 24-year-old, as Forest continue pushing for Premier League promotion. Cooper is, however, hopeful that Davis could return for the play-offs next month if the Reds are involved.
