Man Utd's Harry Maguire received bomb threat as police launch investigation

Harry Maguire has reportedly received a bomb threat against his home.

Wide-spread reports in the British media on Thursday afternoon claimed that the Manchester United captain had been the subject of a threat now under investigation by Cheshire police.

A spokesperson for Maguire is quoted as saying: “In the last 24 hours, Harry has received a serious threat to his family home.

“He has reported this to the police who are now looking into the matter. The safety of his family and those around him is obviously Harry’s number one priority.

“He will continue to prepare for this weekend’s fixture as normal and we will not be commenting in any further detail at this time.”

Sky Sports confirmed the reports later in the afternoon, further revealing that a sweep of Maguire’s home had been conducted in light of the threat.
