Man Utd's David de Gea didn't hold back in interview after Everton loss

Manchester United’s season hit a new low on Saturday following a dismal 1-0 loss to relegation-threatened Everton.

Anthony Gordon scored the only goal of the game for Frank Lampard’s side. His strike was deflected past David de Gea via Harry Maguire.

In truth, it was an awful performance from the Red Devils who now face an extremely tough task to finish in the top four now.

Ahead of the 3 pm kick-offs, United trail Spurs by three points having played a game more. They’re also three points behind Arsenal with the Gunners having two matches in hand.

At the final whistle, the United players looked dejected as they walked off the pitch.

And that was evident in the post-match interviews – especially the one given by goalkeeper, De Gea.

The Spaniard didn’t hold back when speaking to BT Sport after the 1-0 loss, calling the team a “disgrace.”

He said: “It is a disgrace from us to be honest, we should be winning this game. We don’t score but we don’t create proper chances to score. We are not good enough, that is for sure. It will be difficult to be in the top four.

“They played Wednesday and they were tired but they had more desire than us, that is not acceptable. Very sad to lose today.”
