Man Utd's biggest problem in front of goal is not what fans think

Manchester United seem to be having a really tough time scoring goals this season. This troubled term for the Reds has been filled with injuries and wrangles regarding new ownership.

The fans are especially worried because United doesn't seem to be able to muster up many goals at all. Even Burnley and Sheffield United have managed to score more goals than them.

Why is it that United can't get any goals in? Many think that it's linked to their form. Last year, Marcus Rashford was carrying the Red Devils on his shoulders as he racked up 30 goals.

United even put up a good fight for third place during Erik ten Hag's first season thanks to Rashford. He was showing great promise, especially after scoring against powerhouses like Liverpool and Arsenal, which got him picked for the World Cup in Qatar.

After the World Cup, Rashford reached peak form and had an amazing run of games. In March 2023, Ten Hag praised the young player: "He has so many skills, such high potential, and I think that can be even more. When he works well, he will score even more goals because he can score with his right, his left, and with his head." Now everyone knows just how important he is to United.

Without Rashford's form, Manchester United are facing a big problem. With only three goals in the league this season, Rashford isn't playing as well as he did last season.
