Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick was blunt in the wake of his side’s 4-0 thrashing by Liverpool, stating there could be up to ten new signings at the club this summer.

The suggestion came after the German described United's display at Anfield as 'embarrassing'.

The defeat means United are now sixth in the table, three points behind Tottenham, having played one game more. With Champions League qualification unlikely, many fans are looking ahead to the summer in the hope there will be a huge overhaul at the club, especially given the comments made by Rangnick.

"I am not blaming anyone, not my players nor anyone else, but we just have to realise what kind of squad they had available. Look at their bench, look at the four players who weren't even in the squad: Roberto Firmino was the only one who was injured. Oxlade-Chamberlain wasn't in the squad, Minamino was not in the squad, Harvey Elliott was not in the squad.
