Manchester United have asked the representatives of Robert Lewandowski to keep them in the loop over the striker’s future, according to a report.
The 33-year-old has become – and maintained his status as – one of Europe’s elite strikers in recent seasons. In fact, last term he broke Gerd Muller’s record of goals in a Bundesliga campaign, netting 41.
Overall, Poland international Lewandowski scored 48 times last season. This season, meanwhile, he has already struck 39 and is therefore on course to match – or even beat – that tally.
However, this season could also be his last at Bayern. His contract runs out next summer and no concrete signs of an extension have emerged. Bayern could yet choose to get a fee for the player while they still can.
As for where he could go, Arsenal recently had links with an eye-catching raid on Lewandowski.
