Incoming Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag plans to rebuild his squad around eight key players.

The Dutchman wants his team at Old Trafford to have a settled core of talent who will become mainstays in his side, according to reports. And it is claimed Ten Hag has already identified the players he can "trust and build around" when he arrives at the club his summer.

It comes as James Garner's impressive loan spell at Nottingham Forest could see him become part of Erik ten Hag's plans after the midfielder was likened to former United midfielder Michael Carrick. And Diego Forlan has said that Darwin Nunez would be a "spectacular" signing for Manchester United.
