Man Utd include three youngsters in first-team training after FA Youth Cup triumph

Manchester United have included three youngsters in first-team training this week ahead of their last match of the season.

Alejandro Garnacho was the man of the match as the Red Devils beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 with the 17-year-old scoring twice in the FA Cup Youth final. It has led to talk that the Argentine will be handed a new contract after his breakthrough season.

However, the teenager is not one of the three youngsters that have been called up to the first-team ahead of the final game of the season in the Premier League. Ralf Rangnick is looking at the younger options in his squad ahead of the dead rubber.

United take on Crystal Palace with their season in tatters after failing to reach the Champions League. They look on course to finish either sixth or seventh in a year to forget for the Red Devils.

According to the Manchester Evening News, three youngsters have been called up to the squad this week and have been spotted in training. Alvaro Fernandez, Shola Shoretire and Teden Mengi took part in sessions this week and could be deployed against Palace this Sunday afternoon.

Only Fernandez has yet to make his first-team debut already for United but is regarded as one of the best talents at the academy. The 19-year-old was named as the club's Under-23 Player of the Year this week and can play at left-back.
