Man Utd handed boost as transfer target admits Champions League football ‘isn’t essential’

Reported Man Utd target Christian Eriksen has revealed that joining a team in the Champions League “isn’t essential” to him.

The Danish playmaker signed for Brentford in January and shone for the Bees after penning a six-month contract.

It turns out it was Darwin Nunez who was rebuffed by sixth-placed Manchester United!

Interest in the player is high and Brentford have reportedly offered him a new long-term deal, however, Tottenham and Man Utd are also keen.

And speaking to Viaplay, the 30-year-old has admitted that he “would love to play Champions League football again”, but has said that it “isn’t essential” for him.

“Sometimes it can happen fast, other times it’s slow. You are not always a master of your own faith. It
