Man Utd eye Tottenham transfer hijack as Erik ten Hag challenges Antonio Conte for bargain deal

Manchester United have reportedly joined Tottenham in the race to sign Christian Eriksen on a free transfer from Brentford.

The 30-year-old has shone since moving to West London in January. He was available after leaving Inter Milan, with Serie A rules preventing players from wearing an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD), which can reset the heart following a cardiac arrest.

However, Eriksen admitted that while he would love to play in the competition again, it won't be the deciding factor.

"I have different offers and options, which we are considering, and then we make a decision," Eriksen recently stated. "I would love to play Champions League football again, I know how much fun it is, but it isn’t essential for me."
