Man Utd, Burnley stars wanted by Fulham as Marco Silva prepares for top-flight return

Fulham are eyeing moves for Burnley keeper Nick Pope and a Manchester United player ahead of their potential return to the Premier League, according to a report.

The Cottagers have been in fantastic form this season, winning 23 of their 37 Championship matches so far. They have hit an impressive 90 goals in that time, largely due to the exploits of Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic. His record stands at 35 strikes in as many games this term – giving the 27-year-old the most goals in a single Championship campaign ever.

Fulham have an eight-point lead on second-placed Bournemouth, making them favourites to achieve promotion and win the Championship title. Only a severe capitulation in the final nine games would see them remain in the second division.

As such, manager Marco Silva is already planning his summer transfers to prepare for the top flight.

Silva believes the 29-year-old can be a top-class replacement for Fulham’s current number one, Marek Rodak. That is despite the Slovakian keeping 12 clean sheets in all competitions this season.

As shown by Chris Wood’s move to Newcastle, Burnley are willing to sell their star players if a club comes in with a significant offer. And Fulham are looking to capitalise on this.

However, Pope is not the only keeper in Fulham’s sights. The Sun claim United’s Dean Henderson is also under consideration.
