Man Utd, Arsenal interest mooted, but Everton mull over offer for free-agent Andrea Belotti
Everton are leading the Premier League chase for free-agent striker Andrea Belotti, according to a report.
It’s understood that a whole host of Premier League club’s could have more than a passing interest in the striker, who had a €100m release clause at one point.
Of course Everton are in need of a replacement for Richarlison, who has left for Tottenham in a £50m transfer. And Belotti may well be the bargain option that the club are looking for.
The Daily Mail claims “the idea of signing Andrea Belotti has been floated around” at Goodison.
Belotti is now a free agent after refusing to sign a new contract at Torino.
The 28-year-old scored eight goals in 23 games amid a series of injury problems last season. Torino were keen to tie down the No.9 to a new deal, but the former Palermo man has elected to move on a free transfer.
The Express claims Arsenal and Manchester United” could be locked in a battle to sign Italy striker”.
But there appears no concrete interest from either club, although both teams were keen on player in bygone years. In fact Arsenal are understood to have lodged a €65m bid for the player in 2017.
