Man Utd: £63m star now 'looking forward' to staying at Old Trafford

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford will be looking forward to playing under Erik ten Hag, says journalist Pete O’Rourke.

There had been talk about the England international wanting to leave Old Trafford, but O’Rourke is confident that he wants to be a part of Ten Hag’s revolution and prove his doubters wrong.

The Telegraph recently reported that Rashford is keen to stay at United and is looking to impress his new boss.

This comes after The Guardian claimed back in March that the £63m-rated 24-year-old was considering a move away from the club due to a lack of minutes.

Under Ten Hag’s predecessor Ralf Rangnick, Rashford made just nine starts in the Premier League in what was a disappointing 2021/22 season for both the player and his side.

In total, he made 25 appearances in English football’s top flight, managing just the four goals.

After that poor campaign, O’Rourke thinks Rashford will be looking forward to a fresh start under Ten Hag.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: “He will come back hungry, ready to prove a point. I’m sure he’ll be looking forward to playing under Erik ten Hag and looking to prove a point to all his doubters, so I can’t imagine Marcus Rashford leaving Manchester United right now.

“I think he’ll be looking to play and see where the club’s going under Erik ten Hag.”
