Man United vs Burnley LIVE early team news plus Ruben Amorim latest and kick off time

Three days on from the Grimsby Town debacle, it's time for Manchester United to prove brighter times could be on the horizon.

An uplifting pre-season campaign was followed by a decent showing against Arsenal, albeit one that ended in defeat, but since then the wheels have come off.

United surrendered a one-goal lead against Fulham last weekend and were dumped out of the Carabao Cup by fourth-tier Grimsby Town on Wednesday. The post-Grimsby inquest started as soon as Bryan Mbeumo missed the decisive spot kick, and with the international break to follow today's clash with Burnley, it's imperative United record a positive result.

Ruben Amorim said on Friday "sometimes I want to quit", though club sources have been keen to stress the comment was very much tongue in cheek.

The pressure is building on the United boss, and with a Manchester derby and a home game with Chelsea to come after the international break, United are already in must-win territory today, and we've not even reached September.

Kick-off is at 3pm and we'll bring you all the build-up, updates and reaction from Old Trafford.

There has been a lot of talk about Amorim's future at United since Wednesday's disastrous defeat to Grimsby.

Understandably, the United boss was very emotional after the defeat, and he even admitted at his pre-match press conference on Friday that sometimes he wants to quit - a comment that club sources were keen to stress was tongue in cheek.

Later in the press confernece, Amorim was asked if he could definitely say he will be United boss after the September international break.
