Manchester United now have barely three weeks to wait before next year begins and the winter transfer window opens. January being just around the corner means speculation is already rife about what they will do in the market.

Mohamed Salah is the most significant player who could be on the move after speaking out against Liverpool head coach Arne Slot. Rio Ferdinand has now encouraged United to make a move for the Egypt international.

Central midfield is also an area where United need to improve. Adam Wharton, Carlos Baleba and Elliot Anderson are three options the club are reputedly interested in.
