The January transfer window is set to open next week and Manchester United fans might be hoping they can do some business in the winter market.

It's Ruben Amorim's first chance to sign some of his own players after replacing Erik ten Hag as United's new permanent head coach in November - and the Portuguese could be tempted to strengthen his squad.

The 39-year-old certainly wouldn't have been impressed with what he saw during their 3-0 defeat against Bournemouth on Sunday, and if anything, that showed that United need to bolster their ranks.

Gary Neville suggested that the loss by the Cherries was a "positive" so Amorim can see the clear weaknesses in the United squad ahead of the January window - but does Amorim see it the same way?

Ruben Amorim has delivered an update on Marcus Rashford and hinted that he could be back in the Manchester United squad to face Wolves on Boxing Day.

He said: "It depends. We will see."

Manchester United target Randal Kolo Muani is expected to leave Paris Saint-Germain in January.

The Frenchman, who joined PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt for £64.2million plus add-ons in September 2023, has started just three Ligue 1 matches this season and was left out of the squad for their Coupe de France win over Lens on Sunday.

While Kolo Muani could make the switch to Old Trafford, Marcus Rashford might move in the opposite direction. A potential swap deal has been mooted by some, with Rashford's future uncertain
