Man United may have found their next Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho

Manchester United reportedly have plenty of high hopes for two academy players who could follow in the footsteps of Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho.

For years, United have prided themselves on their ability to create world class talent through their academy who end up having an impact on the first team squad in the future. The Class of '92 is the key example with the likes of; Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and David Beckham writing themselves into the club's folklore.

While the Reds have not had as distinguished a class as that in recent times, some academy players have continued to have big impacts on the team. According to the Daily Mail, a couple of young prospects are being eyed to make the next leap into the first team.

Marcus Rashford also introduced himself to Kone when he observed United's U23s beat Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League 2.

Meanwhile, a player who is a lot closer to the first team squad is 17-year-old centre-forward Gabriele Biancheri.

The Welshman arrived from Cardiff City in February 2023 and has hit the ground running for his new club. So far, he has two goals in as many matches in the U18 Premier League which has caught the eye of Erik ten Hag
