Man United loanee Amad sends message to Erik ten Hag as Eric Bailly suffers another injury

Amad received superb praise from manager Tony Mowbray for his second half impact in Sunderland’s 2-1 win over Wigan on Saturday.

The Black Cats were 1-0 down at half-time but the Manchester United attacker’s introduction during the break helped the hosts claim a 2-1 win - and the youngster is starting to show Erik ten Hag why he could have a good future at the club next season. The Ivorian came off just before half-time in the club’s 1-0 loss to champions Paris Saint-Germain following a coming-together with Juan Bernat. It’s the second injury he has suffered in France, also suffering a thigh problem last month.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Alvaro Fernandez played the whole 90 minutes at left wingback for Preston as they fell to a 2-0 home loss to Stoke on Saturday.

At the same time, Ethan Galbraith was also suffering defeat as his Salford side went down 1-0 to promotion chasing Bradford in League Two.
