Man United in fresh Erik ten Hag replacement theory as dream January transfer plan emerges

Manchester United return to action on Thursday as they travel to Fenerbahce in the Europa League.

Erik ten Hag's side will be looking to build on the momentum gathered from their much-needed 2-1 win over Brentford on Saturday. The victory at Old Trafford ended a run of five games without a win in all competitions to ease some of the pressure on Ten Hag.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe would be "tempted" by the potential opportunity to replace Ten Hag at United in the future, according to former United club scout Mick Brown. The Magpies boss is currently under contract at St James' Park until 2027, but Brown claims the Englishman is of interest at Old Trafford.

“I’ve heard he’d be tempted by the opportunity," he told GIVEMESPORT. "No matter the situation the club finds itself in, anybody would be temped by that offer.
