Man United icon David Beckham 'confident' on signing Man City star to partner Lionel Messi
David Beckham's Inter Miami have reportedly identified Kevin De Bruyne as their primary transfer target.
The MLS outfit are growing increasingly 'hopeful' of securing the services of the Manchester City star next summer. De Bruyne's current contract at City is set to expire at the end of the season and, if a new deal with Pep Guardiola's squad isn't agreed upon by then, Inter Miami bosses plan to initiate talks.
Beckham understands that signing a player of De Bruyne's calibre would be a significant coup for both Inter Miami and the MLS generally. Last summer, De Bruyne considered leaving City, due to interest from several Saudi Arabian clubs, but the Belgium captain chose to stay to avoid unsettling his young family.

However, it's said that the idea of living in the United States 'appeals' to De Bruyne and his wife Michele Lacroix, as per reports from The Star. The midfielder, who will turn 34 next June, is open to exploring new opportunities before he retires.
If De Bruyne finalises a move to Beckham's team ahead of the inaugural FIFA World Club Cup next summer, which includes City and Chelsea, he could end up playing against his current club. Despite a term plagued by injuries, De Bruyne delivered an exceptional performance in Wednesday night's 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, making his first start since September and helping City break their seven-game losing streak.
