Man United eye 'two necessary transfers' as Ineos' Erik ten Hag stance clear

Manchester United are a week away from returning to Premier League action as the first international break of the season leaves the club with much to think about.

The Reds won their opening match of the campaign but back-to-back defeats, including a humbling 3-0 loss to Liverpool at Old Trafford have added pressure to all those associated with United. According to Give Me Sport, United are adamant that this will be the final season Casemiro and Christian Eriksen represent the Reds. Both players are believed to have been informed their time is coming to an end and Dan Ashworth has been presented with the task of finding youthful replacements for them.

While Galatasaray have been linked with Casemiro, it is thought they are unlikely to complete a deal before the window closes.

What MEN Sport says: It is unsurprising to hear that United want both Casemiro and Eriksen gone. Unfortunately while both have offered something during their time at Old Trafford, neither are the future of the club. The priority would be to get Casemiro off the books quickly considering his age and ultimately both are necessities needing to be done. Ashworth will certainly be earning his money to find youthful replacements for the midfield duo and United may need to bank on getting a good transfer fee
