Man United chiefs and Joel Glazer 'hold emergency meeting' to make Erik ten Hag future decision

The Manchester United hierarchy are reportedly scheduled to meet next Tuesday in London – just 48 hours after what could potentially be Erik ten Hag's last game in charge.

The Dutchman is under pressure, with his position possibly at risk if the Red Devils suffer their fifth defeat of the season against Aston Villa this Sunday. Last Thursday, United looked set to secure their first victory in four games when they went two goals up against Porto in the Europa League.

But, Ten Hag's side blew their lead once more and found themselves trailing 3-2 with only 10 men on the pitch as extra time approached. Thankfully for the beleaguered United boss, Harry Maguire salvaged a 3-3 draw, despite going down to 10-men when Bruno Fernandes was sent off.

A loss to Villa could be the tipping point, with the club's top brass set to convene for discussions next week. According to the Mirror, this long-scheduled meeting will occur at the club's Kensington offices, with Joel Glazer expected to attend after flying in from the USA.

Glazer, who continues to serve as the club's executive co-chairman, is likely to be joined by co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, INEOS head of sport Sir Dave Brailsford, United CEO Omar Berrada, sporting director Dan Ashworth and technical director Jason Wilcox.
