Man's body found in park close to BBC Radio 2 in the Park festival
A man's body was found in a park close to where the BBC Radio 2 in the Park festival was held this weekend.
The tragic discovery was made in Moor Park in Preston, in Lancashire, at around 10.30am on Sunday morning (September 8), Lancs Live reports. The body was found in the area of the park near the Garstang Road and Blackpool Road crossroads.
Pictures taken by Blog Preston showed emergency services on the scene with an area of the park cordoned off. Elsewhere in the same park, more than 60,000 music fans descended over Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the BBC Radio 2 in the Park festival.

The death is not believed to be linked to the festival. Lancashire Constabulary said the body of a man, believed to be in his 30s, was found on Moor Park Avenue in Preston close to the Observatory.
Officers said the death is not being treated as suspicious. A file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.
In a statement, a force spokesperson said: "At about 10.30am yesterday the body of a man was found on Moor Park Avenue in Preston close to the Observatory. The death of the man, believed to be in his 30s, is not being treated as suspicious at this time and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner."
