Man issues warning to JustEat customers after fighting to get his money back

A man is warning his fellow JustEat customers after he had to struggle for a refund.

Liam Halewood decided to treat himself to a KFC which he ordered via the JustEat app. He ordered a double bucket and dished out £23.47 for the meal.

However, when the wrong order was delivered, he said the driver took the food back and told him he should contact customer services. After contacting them, he was told he must take a 'good quality photograph' before he could get his money back, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Liam said: "I didn’t have a product to take a picture. I feel like for all the good maybe we should stop being lazy and go get it." In an email to Liam, JustEat said: "As you're unable to send us a photo, we won't be able to look into this any further on this occasion."

It's not the first time Liam has had a run-in with JustEat, after accidentally being charged a staggering £249 delivery for a Greggs sausage, bean and cheese melt. Liam, who has since received his refund, added: "People need to fight what’s right and not be ripped off by these big billion pound companies.

"I did fight and got my refund but it always makes me wonder after hearing other people’s horror stories how many people don’t get refunds. I understand some people will say oh him again and Just Eat, but £23 is £23 pound and with no food at all delivered, of course I would want to spread a message with the voice I have to make sure others get the same justice over money not belonging to Just Eat."

He added: "Also people will say why be lazy get it yourself but when you work hard you don’t want to get out your PJs and this was this instance so before anyone starts, we’ve all done it."
