Manchester City can lift their first trophy of the season by winning the Continental Cup final today, but face a tough test against Emma Hayes' formidable Chelsea side.

City have struggled in the Women's Super League this season due to a start that was plagued by injuries, but have recovered to embark on a run of just one defeat in 12 leading up to this clash. The Blues have won the Continental Cup three times previously, and a fourth success on Saturday would mark a huge boost for their ambitions of finishing in the WSL top three at the end of the season.

Chelsea have beaten City three times this season - twice at the Academy Stadium in convincing fashion. However, the recent 1-0 defeat at Chelsea was a 'truer' reflection of this City side, manager Gareth Taylor said, as they were unlucky not to take at least a point back from Kingsmeadow.
