Man City vs Watford highlights and reaction as Doku and Nunes send Blues through

Manchester City were in Carabao Cup action on Tuesday barely 48 hours since an intense 2-2 draw with Premier League rivals Arsenal - with a much-changed side beating Championship side Watford.

City scored a last gap equaliser on Sunday to earn a share of the spoils in a dramatic and draining Etihad clash. Yet, due to a congested calendar, the Blues are being forced to take to the field again owing to Manchester United's Europa League game against FC Twente taking place on Wednesday with UEFA and the Football League unable to find a solution and Greater Manchester Police having concerns about both Manchester clubs playing at home on the same day.

City made wholesale changes to their side for the visit of Championship club Watford, with Stefan Ortega, Matheus Nunes, James McAtee and Nico O'Reilly starting, along with 16-year-old debutant Kaden Braithwaite.

Jeremy Doku and Matheus Nunes scored in a dominant first half, with City easing to victory after that - despite a late scare through Tom Ince's lovely consolation for Watford.
