Man City vs Real Madrid LIVE goal and score updates as Haaland levels but Blues down to 10 men
Manchester City flew out of the traps with a flurry of early chances as Thibaut Courtois was called into action to deny Rayan Cherki and Rodri.
But the Blues were dealt a sucker punch when, after a lenghty VAR check, Real were awarded a penalty for a handball on the line by Bernardo Silva and the City skipper was subsequently sent off. There was confusion around the call with the offside flag belatedly going up only for VAR to intervene.
City continued to try and force the issue and drew level shortly before the break when Erling Haaland scuffed in a leveller from inside the six yard box.
