Manchester City players insisted that the best way to react to defeat at Liverpool was to focus fully on the visit of Nottingham Forest tonight.

City have lost their last four games in the Premier League and have not won in seven games in all competitions stretching back over a month. Pep Guardiola's men are down to fifth, and the manager has parked any talk of a title challenge until his side can start winning again.

Nottingham Forest are the visitors on Wednesday, sitting a point behind City in sixth and could leapfrog the Blues with an away win that would condemn them to their worst run since 2007.

John Stones will miss the game as his foot injury continues to keep him out, while Mateo Kovacic is still out too. Kevin De Bruyne could feature from the start after a number of appearances off the bench.
