Mikel Arteta's side return to action with a North London derby against Tottenham on Sunday and City could be just two points behind by then if Pep Guardiola's side can get the job done against Newcastle tonight.

The Magpies have a woeful recent record at the Etihad and were swept aside in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg last month. Eddie Howe's side were also in Champions League play-off action in midweek with a long but fruitful trip to Azerbaijan where they beat Qarabag 4-1.
