Man City vs Chelsea live Premier League updates plus early team news and how to watch

Manchester City will host Chelsea today in a huge Premier League fixture.

City didn't kick a ball on Saturday and it still proved to be a tough day for Pep Guardiola's side. Title rivals Arsenal looked set to drop points away at Bournemouth but they came from behind to win 3-2, while Aston Villa put their defeat to Mikel Arteta's side behind them to win 3-1 at home to Nottingham Forest.

The results mean City have slipped down to third in the table and are now seven points behind Arsenal, but a win today would see them jump back up to second and cut the gap to Arteta's side.

City have a whole host of injury issues, with Nico Gonzalez and Savinho both picking up knocks in the draw with Sunderland. Guardiola has confirmed he will speak with the medical team before deciding whether Jeremy Doku and Rodri will be fit to go again this evening.

Today's visitors are winless in three league outings and recently parted company with Enzo Maresca, so it's difficult to predict what kind of Chelsea team will turn up this evening.
