Manchester City can take another giant stride towards qualification for the next round of the Champions League tonight when they face Bayer Leverkusen at the Etihad.

Leverkusen had a poor start to the season and sacked former Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag in September. Results have picked up since then and they've won six of their last seven league games. They secured their first Champions League win of the season last time out against Benfica, though they were hammered 7-2 by Paris Saint-Germain two weeks earlier.
In terms of the City team news, Mateo Kovacic is ruled out until February, while Rodri remains sidelined. Kalvin Phillips was also missing from training on Monday. Academy stars Jaden Heskey and Jadel Katongo stepped up to train with the City first team at the City Football Academy.
