Man City transfer news LIVE Raheem Sterling closes in on Chelsea move as youngster seals exit

Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling is on the cusp of sealing an exit from the Etihad Stadium and a move to Premier League rivals Chelsea.

Sterling is understood to have agreed personal terms with the west London outfit, with the two clubs having agreed a fee in excess of £45million. The deal is now nearing completion, meaning Sterling will be City's second big-name departure of the week.

Gabriel Jesus sealed a move to Arsenal on Tuesday, a little over an hour before the Blues announced the arrival of Kalvin Phillips from Leeds United. Phillips has followed the likes of Stefan Ortega and Erling Haaland in sealing a move to the Etihad Stadium.

Considering the transfer window is not even a month old, it has been a rapid start to proceedings for City, in terms of both arrivals and departures.
