Man City to complain to FA about controversies during & after Liverpool clash
Manchester City suffered their first loss of the Premier League season on Sunday afternoon as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at Liverpool.
Mo Salah’s 76th-minute winner inflicted City’s 14th loss at Anfield in their past 22 visits.
The match was a fiercely contested one, which saw a number of controversial moments in the second half in particular.
The temperature of the game rose considerably after City's Phil Foden saw a goal ruled out by VAR following an Erling Haaland shirt-pull on Fabinho in the build-up and only increased from then on.
Salah and Bernardo Silva repeatedly clashed throughout the 90 minutes, with footage emerging after the match of the Man City star appearing to kick out at the Reds' star.
Silva's conduct towards Salah infuriated Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp so much that the German charged down the touchline to aggressively protest to officials.

That didn't go down well with the men in charge and Klopp was ultimately shown a red card by referee Anthony Taylor.
Unfortunately, the notable incidents weren't confined to the Anfield pitch, though.
Reports of unsavoury behaviour in the stands emerged when City boss Pep Guardiola revealed that he had coins thrown at him by Liverpool supporters after Foden's goal was disallowed.
In his post-match press conference, Guardiola joked: "Next time they [Liverpool fans] will do it better. They didn't get me. They tried but didn't get me. They got it on the coach years ago but not this time.'"
